Wow. So Louisa took and passed her bus (category D) test today. What s journey it’s been getting her here.
Louisa came to Truck School following her 6 week training course ending at First Bus. They employ while you train but unfortunately, Louisa was unsuccessful in passing her bus test in this timescale.
So she decided to come to Truck School to take her to test. We would normally do at least a day of Training before a test like this as we are unsure of the experience or teaching styles. Luckily, Louisa had trained in a bus exactly like ours. So we agreed on just doing a little training before test and then into the test. This is what we did and off Louisa went....
Then disaster struck.... our lovely B10 Volvo bus overheated and the test was abandoned....
We were able to get Louisa in for another date but she was unsuccessful at that attempt due to her not having slept the night before!!! Lesson learned.
So today was the retest.. A 6am start for an 8.40 test. We trained in the yard for the reversing and after squashing a few cones, we had to leave for test... more disaster as there was some sort of crash en route and arriving at the test centre, 15 mins late is generally frowned upon!
Back to the Truck School yard and through magic, we managed to find a test for later on in the after noon. Off they went again and this tome got to thectest centre in time for the 13.20 test.
It was now up to Louisa to put all those nerves behind her, despite all that had happened.
Well done as all the hard work paid off and a new Bus licence is on its way to you!!
