Sandor Farago originally from Hungary, now living in Shepton Mallet near to Bristol and Bath, took and passed both his class 2 driving test and also his mod 4 CPC today. Both of these tests were at the FIRST TIME attempt too.
Sandor came to Truck school a few weeks ago to enquire into the process of gaining his HGV licence. We helped him to understand the process but he completed all of the forms and gained his HGV medical on his own.
Once his theory and hazard perception tests were passed, we were able to book him a driving course. For some reason, the system would not allow us to book up his driving test. With a few enquiries, it was found out that when he completed the forms, Sandor only applied for the Cat C1 licence. This meant that he was technically not entitled to drive our lorry. With a bit of effort from the team in the office, we were able to send off Sandor's licence and upgrade the entitlement to category C. So the training began.
Sandor learnt with our female HGV driving instructor, Carlie. She completed the practical driver training and also the Mod 4 CPC training too.
Into test today and we arrived early. The examiner came out and was really relaxed with Sandor. He completed the driving test and the mod 4 CPC test giving just one driving fault on the driving and a whopping 95% score on the Mod 4 CPC.
Well done to Sandor. Hope you have the confidence that you should have to use this licence and actually get out on the road in a lorry!
