Matthew came to Truck School to gain his HGV class 2 licence. Today, he realised that goal as he passed the driving test.
Matthew has already passed his CPC tests and so with this next part completed, he is ready to go and upgrade to the big trucks for his job.
Matthew was very close to not passing today. The examiner was very fair and explained that he approached a roundabout in the wrong lane. Not too much of an issue but when he took up the correct lane, there should have been more observations in the mirror to guarantee safety. The reason the examiner let this slip is because of the rest of the mirror checks being spot on. The particular situation could have turned out a lot worse if someone had been driving on the side of him as the blind spot areas on lorries are huge.
Still, lesson learned and I am sure that Matthew will remember that lecture and learn from it.
