Dan Seymour has been with us this week training on the Mercedes 18 tonne rigid lorry.
Dan works for Parkers Transport in Radstock and until now, has been a van driver for them. Albeit, Dan does not yet have his CPC in hand, he can now drive the larger vehicles.
Dan was able to pass his theory tests and hazard perception tests just a few weeks ago and so he went onto the list for the driver training.
With a couple of trainer changes, Dan started with Anna, then had a couple of day's training with fabulous Carlie but finished up with Mike. The changes were not his fault. We do not normally change trainers during the week of training but this week, it was unavoidable. Sometimes, it is better to get a different pair of eyes on the training and slightly different perspectives.
Nevertheless, today was the day and Mike was the one to attend test with Dan. A few small faults and an hour drive later, Dan now has a pass certificate to upgrade his driving licence.
Dan did not get the examiner to send off for his upgraded licence as he needs that for his CPC mod 4 test, which is in the very near future. Once that is passed, he can send his licence off the old fashioned way.
Well done Dan.
