Dec Channon works for the family buisness, Paul Channon Construction. His Grandfather approached Truck School to see about getting Dec through his class 2 and eventually his class 1 driver training. We sorted out a complete package and sent Dec off to do a drivers medical. Once that was passed, it was off to the theory test centre to take his theory and hazard perception test. Dec flew through these and so the next step was the driver training.
All through the week, Dec has been coming in at a dawn breaking 6am for his driver training. Bessy, our 18 Tonne lorry was working hard through the week completing Decs training and also training in the afternoon too.
The confidence grew and Dec, himself, even said he thought he would be worse that he was. Lacking in self confidence I think as Mike, Decs triner, said that he was really good.
Anyway, the waiting ended with a FIRST TIME test pass with only 4 driver faults throughout the test. Well done to Dec. Well done to Mike for doing the majority of the training. A good job done by Sean, our trainer, who stepped in on day 3 too.
Dec: "I couldn't have done this without the fantastic training from Truck School. A great team with great trainers".
