Another FIRST TIME class 2 test pass in Bristol

Shaun Nowel who is a fabricator from Holcombe, near to Radstock contacted us a long time ago about doing his class 2, HGV driver training. All was booked but Shaun just couldn't find the time to get around to booking in any lessons.

At Truck School, part of Belt Up School of Motoring, we believe that we should work for you and so everything was done within our power to get the practical driver training in. This meant Saturday lessons. Hey ho. This doesn't bother us. We will do what we can to help you gain your HGV driving licence and if that means working the weekend, we will work the weekend!

Shaun trained over the past couple of Saturdays but was then able to get a Friday in for training. One of our new team members, Sean Durk, sat in on that day of training just to keep up to date with things. Another day on Saturday, ready for the driving test early Monday Morning.

With a 6.30am start, the gates were opened at our dedicated training yard at our office site in Paulton. The show me and tell me questions were revised and the reverse excercise too. Once they were nailed, off to the test centre it was. There was just enough time for a sneaky cuppa before the test started and then it was into the multi purpose test centre in Kingswood, Bristol to park up ready for the examiners.

When the driving examiners came out, it was the normal signatures needed on the paperwork and then it was all up to Shaun. There was nothing else that could be done.

I don't know why we worry so much. ONLY 3 driver faults throughout the whole hour and fifteen minute practical driving test and a pass certificate later, Shaun returned to the office with a full UK HGV driving licence. Not bad going.

Well done to Shaun for putting the effort in. Now you can go and look at buying that lorry you were talking about.

Shaun - "I chose Truck School as they were quite local to me. At first, I booked, not realising that it was going to be 5 days needed. I couldn't find the time to get the training in ready for the test. Truck School moved things around and managed to get me in on Saturdays to help me out. Both of the trainers I had explained things in different ways but this was good as I felt it gave 2 opinions of my driving. Both were positive and they made the training fun and enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend Truck School to any one wanting to get their HGV licence. Absolutely great."
