Marc battles the snow for his class 2 test pass

Marc Singer completed the BTEC level 3 diploma in customer services through Any Driver and the student loans. On completion of this, we at Truck School paid for Marc to complete his medical, his theory and hazard perception tests and also the three day practical driver training and test on day four. All of this completely funded through the BTEC course. Marc decided that he would need his driver CPC too and so alongside the driver training, we trained Marc for the CPC test. H

A well deserved test pass for Simon this week. Simon came to Truck School wanting to complete all of his HGV driving tests before Christmas. We took on the challenge and although he passed his CPC module 4 FIRST TIME, he did not quite get the driving part first time. Simon does not live locally to us but was able to get to us for his training and he went in for his re test with Mike and was steered towards the goal of his driving test pass. Steve passes C1+E Test FIRST TIME

Steve Austin works for Hinton Rescue and they need him to be able to complete recoveries in their 7.5 tonne lorry. Although Steve has his acquired rights in the C1+E category, there is a weight restriction on his licence as with most acquired rights. This means he can only tow a small trailer behind his recovery truck. In order to lift that restriction, he needed to actually take the C1+E test. Hope Haywood took and passed her class C1 driving test this week with Truck School. It was technically her FIRST TIME test with us but it was not her first time at taking the test. Hope originally learnt with an HGV driving school, who we work closely with, WTTS. She went out in their 18 tonne lorry and unfortunately, was not successful. Ashley Pulsford came to Truck School to take training in our class 2 lorry this week. He has already completed his car and trailer test a few years ago but now has a horse lorry sat at home but no licence to drive it! So Ashley came in for a driving assessment and although his driving was of a very high standard, he did not feel comfortable with Bristol traffic and so a full course was booked.
